Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 7 days at 25 °C, streak cultures are creamy, butyrous, smooth, convex, dull and entire. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: On Dalmau plate cultures on corn meal agar after 10 days at 25 °C, pseudomycelium can be found under the cover glass. Formation of ascospores: After 10 days at 18°C on CM agar, YM agar, McClary’s acetate agar, malt extract agar, and V8 agar, ascospores are absent.
