Description: CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 23-35 mm, velutinous, center somewhat floccose, coremia form in 14 days, loose, zonate; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant, terminally on the stalks of coremia, dull green (26D-E3-4) or greyish green to greenish grey (26C2-3, 25B2-3); exudate clear; soluble pigment absent; reverse orange grey to greyish orange (5B2-4), yellowish white (4A2) or yellowish grey to greyish yellow (4B2-3). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 24-31 mm, velutinous, center and subcenter, floccose, coremia, formed in 14 days, loose, zonate, margin low, effuse, irregular; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant on coremia, azure blue to deep turquoise (24D7-8); exudate clear; soluble pigment absent; reverse yellowish white to light yellow (4A2-4) or orange white (5A2). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 3-6 mm, limited growth. CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no germination. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: no germination. Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA mostly borne from coremia, less often from aerial mycelium; stipes septate, sinuous, of indeterminate length, 3.2-4.8 μm wide, smooth, thin walled; penicilli irregularly branched; metulae in verticils of 1-4, smooth, 6.3-14.3 × 3.6-4.8 μm; phialides in verticils of 2-4, cylindroidal, smooth, 8.7-13.3 × 2.4-2.8 μm; collula abruptly tapering, short; conidia ellipsoidal, occasionally pyriform, 4.1-5.2 (6.0) × 3.2-4.0 μm, smooth, thick walled, mostly borne on coremia.
