 Description: CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 40-42 mm, plicate, center somewhat raised, pulvinate, floccose, margin narrow, effuse; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant, greyish green (28D-E3-5); exudate droplets, clear; soluble pigment absent; reverse brown to dark brown (7E-F4-5), greyish orange (5B3-4) or greyish brown to light brown (6D3-4). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 42-44 mm, plane, velutinous, center floccose, margin effuse, irregular; mycelium white to deep orange (6A7-8), conidiogenesis abundant, dull green (27D-E3-4); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse pale red or pastel red to greyish red (7A-B3-5). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 9-16 mm, dense, center raised, convoluted, veluti-nous, margin entire, narrow, low; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant, dull green (26-27D3-4); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse olive (2-3D-E3-4) or yellowish grey to dull yellow (3B2-3). CYA, 5°C, 7 days: some germination. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: no germination. Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne from aerial mycelium; stipes septate, 62-2.. × 3.6-4.8 μm, smooth, somewhat thick walled; penicilli mostly terverticillate, often biverticillate, less commonly irregularly quaterverticillate; rami smooth, in groups of 2, 15.1-23.3 × 3.6-3.8 μm; metulae in verticils of 2-4, smooth, 11.1-17.7 × 3.2-4.2 μm; phialides in verticils of 4-9, ampulliform to roughly cylindroidal, smooth, 8.7-12.7 × 2.2-3.3 μm, collula abruptly tapering; conidia broadly ellipsoidal to cylindroidal, 4.0-5.1 × 2.4-3.2 μm, smooth, thick walled, borne in long, irregular, loose columns.
