Description: Colony diameters on Czapek’s Agar 3.0-3.5 cm in 14 days at 25°C, dense, plane; conidial heads radiate or loosely columns, courge green to dull citrine (R., Plate XVII, XVI); mycelium and cleistothecia yellow; reverse near pale sulphine yellow, pale orange-citrine to olive (R., Plate IV, XXX). Colony diameters on Malt Extract Agar 3.0-3.3 cm in 14 days at 25°C, plane; Conidial heads radiate, near yellowish oil green, or yellowish citrine to serpentine green (R., Plate V, XVI); mycelium yellow to capucine orange (R., Plate III); cleistothecia yellow; reverse dull yellow, dark mikado orange to amber brown (R., Plate III). Colony diameters on Czapek’s Agar with 20% added sucrose 7.0-7.5 cm in 14 days at 25°C; conidial heads radiate to columnar, bice green, dark terreverte (R., Plate XVII, XXXIII); mycelium yellow or zinc orange to yellow ocher, or grenadine (R., Plate XV, II); reverse yellow to aniline yellow (R., Plate IV); stipes 53-910 × 4.0-18.3 μm, hyaline to green-brown, smooth; vesicles obovoid to pyriform or subglobose, 6.3-36.5 μm wide. Aspergilla uniseriate, phialides covering 1/2 to the entire surface of the vesicle, 5.6-14.3 × 3.1-7.3 μm. Conidia globose to subglobose, 4.0-13.5 × 3.7-11.1 μm, spinose. Cleistothecia globose to subglobose, 44.0-143.0 μm in diameter. Asci subspherical to spherical, 9.5-16.7 × 8.7-12.0 μm, 8-spored. Ascospores lenticular with a slightly to definitely furrowed, convex surfaces smooth or a little rough along the ridges, 4.0-6.4 × 3.2-4.8 μm.
