Description: | CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 35-36 mm, center wrinkled, deep, subcenter somewhat raised, sulcate, dense, floccose, margin entire, low, narrow; mycelium white to orange white (5A1-2); conidiogenesis moderate, greyish green (28B2-3); exudate soluble pigment absent; reverse pale orange to light orange (5A3-4). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 34-38 mm, plane, entire, velutinous to floccose, margin low, effuse; mycelium pastel yellow (2A4-6); conidiogenesis abundant, dark green (26-27F4-5), dull green (26E3, 26F4-5); exudate absent; soluble pigment very faint, orange white (5-6A2); reverse light to reddish orange (6-7A4-6), pale orange (6A3) or yellowish grey to dull yellow (3B2-3). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: germination with limited growth. CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no germination. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: colony diameters 28-32 mm, center raised, deeply sulcate, floccose, margin entire, narrow; mycelium greyish to light yellow (4A-B3-5), yellowish white (4A2) or pastel yellow to yellow (2A4-6); conidiogenesis light to moderate, greenish grey to grey-ish green (28C2-3); exudate clear; soluble pigment absent; reverse light greyish, brownish orange (5-7A-C4-5) or yellowish white to light yellow (4A2-4). Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne from aerial and superficial mycelium; stipes septate, 187-246 × 2.4-3.2 μm, smooth, thick walled; penicilli strictly biverticillate; metulae in verticils of 7-9, smooth, 8.7-11.9 × 2.4-3.2 μm; phialides in verticils of 5-7, acerose, smooth, 8.3-11.9 × 2.4-3.2 μm, collula long, gradually tapering; conidia spheroidal to subspherioid, 2.0-2.4 × 2.0-2.4 μm, smooth, thick walled, borne in short radial heads. | |||
