 Description: CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 19-22 mm, dense, deep, center wrinkled, floccose, subcenter sulcate, velutinous, margin entire, narrow, floccose; mycelium pinkish to pale red (7A2-3), yellowish white (2A2); conidiogenesis abundant, greyish green (27D-E4-6) or greenish white to pale green (25A2-3); exudate reddish orange to orange red (7-8A7-8); soluble pigment pinkish to orange white (6-7A2); reverse violet brown or greyish red to brownish violet or brownish red (9-11C-E5-7). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 21-24 mm, plane, velutinous, margin entire, narrow, floccose; mycelium orange red (8A6-8), melon (5A6); conidiogenesis heavy, greyish green (26-27E4-7), greenish white (27A2); exudate yellowish white (1A2), orange grey or yel-lowish grey (4-5B2); soluble pigment absent; reverse yellowish grey to greyish yellow (3B-C2-3), orange white to pale orange, pale yellow (4-6A2-3). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: no growth. CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no growth. CYA, 37°C , 7 days: no growth. Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne mostly from aerial and superficial mycelium; stipes septate, non-vesiculate (vesiculate on CYA), 136-384 × 2.4-3.2 μm, finely roughened, thin walled; penicilli biverticillate; metulae in verticils of 8-11, smooth to very finely roughened, 8.0-11.2 × 3.2-4.0 μm; phialides in verticils of 7-10, acerose, smooth, 8.8-13.6 × 1.6-2.8 μm, collula gradually tapering; conidia predominantly ellipsoidal, less often subspheroidal, pyriform, 2.4-2.8 × 2.0-2.4 μm, smooth to finely roughened, more or less thick walled, borne in radial columns.
