Description: | Leaf spots distinct on upper surface, irregularly angular, vein-limited, confluent, up to 15 mm wide, at first purplish red, later grayish brown at center, sometimes with a dark-reddish brown margin. Fruiting chiefly epiphyllous. Secondary mycelium absent. Stromata absent or a few brown cells. Conidiophore arises singly or 2-6 in a fascicle, pale to medium brown, uniform in colour and width but paler and slightly attenuated at the apex, erect, geniculate, not branched, multiseptate, 50-400 × 4-6 μm; conidial scars thickened conspicuously. Conidia hyaline, straight to curved, indistinctly multiseptate, acute at the apex, truncate at the base with a thickened hilum, 50-150 × 2-4 μm. | |||
