 Description: Leaf spots none or indistinct on upper surface. Fruiting strictly hypophyllous, discrete or confluent, up to 5 mm wide, round or effuse, dark olivaceous brown, velvety. Stromata absent. Mycelium internal and external. Conidiophores fasciculate, emerging through the stomata or rupturing the epidermis, pale olivaceous brown, clavato-cylindric in shape (broader at the apex), multiseptate, constricted at the septa, distinctly geniculate with thickened conidial scars, branched, up to 200 μm long, 5-8 μm wide. Conidia pale olivaceous brown, obclavate or fusoid, straight to mildly curved, 0-5 (mostly 3) septate, some of them guttulate, bluntly rounded at both ends, 8-55 μm long, 8-10 μm wide, hilum conspicuously thickened.
