 Description: Leaf spots suborbicular, 2-4 mm. in diameter, brown, with a narrow black line margin. Fruiting hypophyllous. Stromata absent or only several brown cells. Conidiophores 2-15 in a fascicle or rarely arise singly from a stoma, pale olivaceous brown to pale brown, slightly paler towards the apex, uniform in width but sometimes attenuated, straight or sinuous, multiseptate, not branched, 0-2 geniculate, 10-16 × 4-6 μm; conidial scars conspicuously thickened. Conidia hyaline or chlorine, acicular to subcylindric, sometimes obclavate, straight or slightly curved, 1-10 septate, smooth, acute or subobtuse at the apex, truncate or short obconically truncate at the base with a thickened hilum, 20-80 × 3-4.5 μm.
