Description: | Leaf spots suborbicular, 1-8 mm in diameter, at first water soaked, then brown to dingy grey, surrounded by a dark brown border, infected leaves turn yellow, dead tissues may drop off leaving the leaves with holes. Fruiting amphigenous. Stromata absent or small. Conidiophores 2-9 in a fascicle, unbranched, uniform in width, light brown, paler towards the apex, straight to slightly curved, continuous or 1-2septate, 0-4 geniculate, 20-110 × 4-6 μm. Conidial scars conspicuous, truncate at the apex, 20-110 × 4-6 μm. Conidia acicular or very pale olivaceous, indistinctly shorter one may be cylindric to slightly clavate, straight to slightly curved, hyaline or very pale olivaceous, indistinctly multiseptate, subacute or subobtuse at the apex, truncate or subtruncate at the base, 20-130 × 2.5-5 μm: hilum thickened conspicuously. | |||
