Description: | Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 3 days at 25 ℃, the cells are subglobose (4.1-7.5 × 2.7-5.3 μm), single or in pairs. Vegetative reproduction is accomplished by multilateral budding. Sediment is present. Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 7 days at 25 ℃, streak cultures are creamy, butyrous, smooth, convex, dull and entire. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: On Dalmau plate cultures on corn meal agar after 10 days at 25 ℃, pseudomycelium can be found under the cover glass. Formation of basidiospores: After 10 days at 18 ℃ on CM agar, YM agar, McClary’s acetate agar, malt extract agar, and V8 agar, sexual spores are absent. | |||
