Description: | Growth onYM agar: After 7 days at 25℃, streak culture is orange to red, smooth or rough, glistening and flat. The edge is entire or undulat, sometimes with mycelial fringe. Growth in YM broth: After 3 days at 25℃, there is considerable variation in cell shape; the cells may be spherical, elongate or allantoid. Cell size are (3.5-5.0 ×4.0-9.0 μm), single and in pair. Reproduction by multilateral budding. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: Pseudomycelium may present. Formation of ballistoconidia: The strain form ballistoconidia on corn meal agar or on YM agar. The ballistoconidia are asymmetric, measuring (2.5-5.0×4.5-10.0) μm, with 1-3 sterigma. | |||
