Note: This species was treated by Reid (1964) as the only species of the genus Plicaturopsis Reid. Differences between Plicatura Peck and Plicaturopsis are minor, and it is personal opinion as to join them together or not. I personally accept the opinion of Ginns (1970), to regard them as the same genus.
