 Description: Basidiocarp solitary or imbricate, fanshaped, broadly attached by a laterial or central base, with coriaceous consistency, 5-20 mm wide, up to 4 mm thick at base. Pileus brown, with concentric darker zones, with villose tomentum. Tomentum brown, up to 1.5 mm thick, separated from the context by a black zone. Context dark brown in seciton, generally thin, up to 1 mm thick at pileal base. Tubes pale brown in section, up to 1 mm thick. Hymenial surface brown or dark brown, poroid; margin a lighter immature zone. Pores angular, 3-4 per mm. Hyphal system monomitic; hyphae simple-septate. Tomental hyphae brown, fairly straight, rarely branched, 3-5 μm diam., with 0.8-1.8 μm thick walls. Contextual hyphae brown, fairly straight, rarely branched, 2.5-4.5 μm diam., with 0.7-1.5 μm thick walls. Setae numerous, subulate, brown, 40-70 × 6-9 μm, with 2.5-3.5 μm thick walls. Basidia subclavate, 8-11 × 4-4.5 μm, 4-sterigmate. Basidiospores narrowly ellipsoid, colorless, smooth, thin-walled, 3.8-4.3 × 1.8-2.1 μm, IKI–, CB–.
