 Description: Basidiocarp pileate, centrally stipitate. Pileus circular, depressed at the center, bent down at margin, with ± brittle to ± coriaceous consistency. ca. 2-4 cm diam., up to 3 mm thick at center. Upper surface of pileus clay-colored at central area, pale brown towards margin, with numerous concentric darker zones, with villose tomentum at center, glabrous elsewhere, ± striate towards margin. Context up to 2 mm thick at pileus center, thin elsewhere, in section brown. Tubes up to 1.5 mm deep. Hymenial surface clay-colored, poroid. Pores angular, 6-8 per mm. Stipes brown, ca. 1-3 cm long, ca. 3 mm thick. Hyphal system monomitic; hyphae simple- septate. Tomentum hyphae colorless to pale brown, much-branched, 2.5-7.5 μm diam., with 0.5-1 μm thick walls. Context hyphae pale brown, fairly straight, rarely branched, 3.5-7 μm diam., with 0.3-0.7 μm thick walls. Stipe composed of two types of hyphae; (1) similar to context hyphae; (2) tortuous and branched, pale brown, 1.5-3 μm diam., thin-walled. Cystidia lacking. Basidia subclavate, sometimes with stalked bases, 15-25 × 6.5-7.5 μm, 4-sterigmate. Basidiospores colorless or slightly yellowish brown, ellipsoid, smooth, slightly thick-walled, with a distinct oily drop, ± dextrinoid.
