Description: | Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 3 days at25°C, the cells are ellipsoidal (4.4-11.4 × 3.1-5.4 μm), single or in pairs. Vegetative reproduction is accomplished by multilateral budding. Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 7 days at 25°C, streak cultures are creamy, butyrous, rough, granular, pylvinate, dull and undulate. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: On Dalmau plate cultures on corn meal agar after 10 days at 25°C, pseudomycelium can be found under the cover glass. Formation of ascospores: After 10 days at 18°C on CM agar, YM agar, McClary’s acetate agar, malt extract agar, and V8 agar, ascopores are absent. | |||
