Vegetative reproduction is accomplished by multilateral budding. Sediment is present. Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 7 days at 25°C, streak cultures are white, butyrous, smooth, flat, glistening and entire. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: On Dalmau plate cultures on corn meal agar after 10 days at 25°C, neither pseudomycelium nor true mycelium is formed under the cover glass.
