Description: | Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 3 days at 25 °C, the cells are cylindrical and elongate (4.2-9.5 × 3.5-6.5 μm), and occur singly or in pairs. Vegetative reproduction is accomplished by multilateral budding. Growth on yeast extract-malt extract agar: After 7 days at 25°C, streak cultures are creamy, butyrous, smooth, pulvinate, dull and undulate. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: On Dalmau plate cultures on corn meal agar after 10 days at 25°C, pseudomycelium can be found under the cover glass Formation of ascospores: After 10 days at 18°C on CM agar, YM agar, McClary’s acetate agar, malt extract agar, and V8 agar, ascospores are absent. | |||
