Description：
On PDA, growth is rapid, with dense white aerial mycelium and orange sporodochia developing as the culture ages. Colonies reach 4.8 cm diameter for 4 days at 24℃. From below the cultures are orange to tan in color. Microconidia are absent. Macroconidia produced from unbranched monophialides are sickle-shaped, delicate, thin-walled, mostly 3-5 septate, 20.0-52.2 × 2.8-5.0 μm. Chlamydospores are absent.

Taiwan, Tanshui, November 1986, from kandelia〔Kandelia candel (L.) Druce〕, NCHU 5945.
Habitat：
on the caryopsis type of grasses, such as Cynodon dactylon (as well as on the ergots), Elymus arenarius, Panicum maximum, Secale, and Zea, on kernels, culms, corn stalks.
Distribution：
Europe, Africa.
