Description: | On pine pollen: Sporangium epibiotic, spherical or ovoid, 10-27.5 μm diam., apical, subapical or two lateral with 1-3 exit papillae. Zoospores spherical, 2.5-3 μm diam., usually emerging simultaneously from several papillae. Resting spore numerous, spherical, 10-19 μm diam., with a large, 5-10 μm diam., eccentric refractive globule. | |||

Note: | This species is saprophyte on pine pollen, it is difficult to growth on artificial medium.The discharge papillae of mature sporangium filled with a dome-shaped mass of slightly opaque material which projects a short distance outward. These characters are similar to Karling‘s descriptions (Karling, 1968). | |||
