 Description: CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 19-25 mm, center deep, sulcate, floccose, mycelium white to orange red (8A6-7), violet brown (10E6); conidiogenesis moderate to heavy, grey-ish to dull green (26-27D3-5); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse brownish beige to brown to greyish orange (6B-E3-5). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 38-44 mm, plane, floccose to funiculose, margin irregular; mycelium white, greyish yellow (3B3-5); conidiogenesis moderate to abundant, greyish grey (1D2); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse yellowish grey to dull yel-low (3B2-4) or grayish yellow (4B3-4). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: no germination or occasionally germinated with limited growth. CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no germination. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: colony diameters 24-26 mm, center deep, wrinkled, subcenter and margin sulcate, floccose, margin narrow; mycelium white, greyish yellow (3B3-5); conidio-genesis sparse; exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse light brown to brown (6D-E4-6). Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne mostly from aerial mycelium; stipes septate, 17-78 × 2.0-3.6 μm, smooth, thin walled; penicilli biverticillate, less often terverticillate, irregular, or monoverticillate; rami smooth, in groups of 2-5, 23.0-30.2 × 2.8-3.2 μm; metulae in verticils of 2-5, smooth, 10.3-14.2 × 2.4-3.2 μm; phialides in verticils of 4-7, ampulliform or somewhat acerose, smooth, 10.3-13.2 × 2.8-3.2 μm, collula gradually tapering; conidia globose to subglobose, 2.8-3.6 μm, verruculose, thick walled, borne in irregular, columns.
