 Description: CYA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 20-22 mm, center somewhat raised, wrinkled, irregularly spreading, subcenter low, plane, velutinous, margin entire, narrow, dense, effuse, floccose; mycelium white to madder red (9A7); conidiogenesis abundant, dark green (29F4-6) or greyish green (25D-E4-5); exudate lacking; soluble pigment pinkish to pastel red (7A2-5); reverse pastel to greyish red (8A-B4-5, 9C5-7) or brownish red (10D5-8). MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 28-32 mm, plane, velutinous, margin low, effused; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant, greyish green (26-27E3-6); exudate lacking; soluble pigment faint, orange grey to orange greyish (6B2-3); reverse greyish red (8B5-6), brownish orange (6C3-5) or yellowish white (4A2). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: no germination. CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no germination. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: colony diameters 21-25 mm, center somewhat raised, velutinous, margin entire, narrow, floccose; mycelium white; conidiogenesis abundant, dull to greyish green (30E4-6), greenish grey to greyish green (25B2-3); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse greyish to brownish red(8-9C5-6), reddish brown (9D5-6, 8B5-6) or golden grey to light blond (4C2-3). Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne from superficial and aerial mycelium; stipes septate, 40-342 × 2.8-4.0 μm, smooth to finely roughened, thin walled; penicilli mostly biverticillate, occasionally monoverticillate; metulae in verticils of 2-6, smooth to finely roughened, 8.8-12 × 3.2-4.0 μm; phialides in verticils of 5-7, acerose, smooth to very finely roughened, 9.6-12.5 × 2.4-3.2 μm, collula gradually tapering; conidia ellipsoidal to subspheroidal, 2.4-3.8(6.4) × 2.4(-5.2) μm, smooth to very finely roughened, thin walled, borne in well-defined, compact columns.
