 Description: Leaf spots indistinct or irregular, ferruginous areas on upper surface, sometimes with an indefinite darker margin or a yellowish border, up to 6 mm wide. Fruiting hypophyllous, dark, effuse. Stromata lacking. Conidiophores arise singly or 2-6 in a fascicle, pale to medium dark brown, uniform in colour, irregular in width, sometimes branched, plainly multiseptate, 0-7 geniculate, decorated with medium sized thickened conidial scars of width 2- 2.5 μm, 40-250 × 4-5.5 μm. Conidia hyaline, acicular or shorter ones may be cylindric, straight to mildly curved, indistinctly multiseplate, subacute or subobtuse at the apex, truncate at the base with a thickened hilum, 40-180 × 3-5 μm.
