 Description: Stromata flattened pulvinate to scutate, yellowish white, light yellow to yellow (4A2-6), 1.2-2.7 mm in diam., ca. 0.5 mm high, sometimes surrounded by a membranous hypothallus, white, ca. 0.5 mm wide, consisting of densely interwoven hyphae. Hyphae septate, hyaline, slightly warted, thick-walled, 3.2-5.6 μm wide. Pycnidia embedded in stroma, peripheral, circular or scattered, spherical, ovoid or irregular, 160-400 × 110-280 μm, ostiole wide, orifice often covered by pycnidiospores, in mass light yellow (2A4-5) to deep yellow (4A8), becoming orange to dark orange (5A7-8, 5B8) in age. Conidiophores phialidic, hyaline, smooth, mostly monoverticillate, bearing whorls of 2-4 phialides, occasionally biverticillate, or solitary. Phialides cylindrical or acerose, 9.5-16.7(-18.9) × 1.6-2.4 μm, paraphyses absent. Pycnidiospores fusoid, both ends abruptly tapering, acerose, one-celled, guttulate, hyaline, 13.5-19.8(-22.2) × 2.8-3.2(-4.0) μm.
