 Description: Stromata pulvinate, circular, discoid, elevated, margin complete or circinate, surfaces rugu-lose, center deep, deeply radially sulcate lobes, deep orange to orange (5A8, 6A7, 6A-B8) when fresh, becoming reddish orange (7A-B8) to orange red or yellowish red (8A7-8) with age, 1.8-3.0 mm in diam., ca. 1.0 mm high, base constricted, spreading, forming membra-nous hypothallus, 0.5-0.8 mm wide, white to orange (5A6), consisting of interwoven hyphae. Hyphae branched, septate, hyaline, smooth-, thick-walled, 2.3 μm wide, sometimes swollen, 4.8-7.9 μm wide. Pycnidia embedded in stroma, peripheral, scattered or circular, ovoid, flattened globose to spherical, 260-360 × 160-300 μm, ostiole deep, narrow. Conidiophores phialidic, mono-, biverticillate or irregular, bearing whorls of 2-4 phialides. Phialides slen-der, narrow cylindrical, subulate, 14.5-24.4 × 1.0-1.6 μm, parpphyses originating from pycnidiophore, linear, filiform, flexuous, up to 140 μm long, 1.8 μm wide. Pycnidiospores fusoid, sometimes narrowly fusiform, with acute ends, apiculate, occasionally slightly curved, (8.3-)9.5-15.1(-18.3) × (1.6-)2.4-3.2 μm, one-celled, hyaline, smooth-walled.
