 Description: Growth in glucose-yeast extract-peptone broth: After 3 days at 25°C, the cells are ellipsoidal to cylindrical, (3.2-5.6) × (4.8-9.6) μm, single, in pairs, multilateral budding. Growth on glucose-yeast extract-peptone agar: Aerobic growth is red, butyrous, rough, dull and flat with undulate margin. Dalmau plate culture on corn meal agar: After 7 days at 25°C, pseudohyphae are not formed. Formation of ballistoconidia: Ballistoconidia are ellipsoidal or allantoid and formed on many artificial media. Sterigmata frequently are sympodially branched.

 Habitat: Mycotic skin lesion, diseased potato, etiolated grass, atmosphere, sediment in bottle of beer, milk from mastitic cow, skin of calf, soil, madura foot, fungus Boletus sp. nectar of Linaria sp. and wood pulp.
