Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacquin : Fr.) Kumm., Führ. Pilzk. 85. 1871.

 Description: Pileus 5-10 cm, shell- or spatula-shaped, grayish white to brownish gray, smooth, margin. Gills deccurrent along stipe, white to grayish white. Stipe eccentric, 1-3 × 1-2 cm, solid, white, smooth. Spores cylindric, hyaline, smooth, I-, 7-9 × –3.5 μm. Cystidia not seen. Hyphae with clamps.

Taiwan, Nantou: Meifeng, on rotten wood, 18 Feb. 1998, CWN 02898 (TNM F0010721).

 Habitat: Lignicolus. On trunks of various broad-leaved trees.
