 Description: Pileus 5-10 cm, flat, pale brown to dark brown, glabrous or radiate striate, viscid when wet, smooth. Gills adnate to free, distant of several lengths, white, smooth. Stipe central, 6-17 × 0.8-1.5 cm, solid, grayish brown, tomentose, base enlarged with a long rooting appendage. Spore print white, spores broadly elliptical to ovate, hyaline, smooth, I-, 14-19 × 11-13 μm. Cystidia fusiform, thick-walled, sometimes encrusted at tips. Hyphae with clamps.
