 Scientific Name: Mycena haematopus

Mycena haematopus (Pers.: Fr.) Kummer, Führer Pilzk. (Zerbst). 1871.

Basionym: Agaricus haematopus Pers., Observ. mycol. (Copenhagen) 2: 56. 1799.

 Description: Pileus 1-2.5 cm, campanulate, pale red to dark red, glabrous, striate, producing droplets of blood red latex on cutting. Gills adnate, slightly distant of several lengths and veins, white, smooth. Stipe central, 8-10 × 0.3 cm, cylindrical, hollow, dark red, tomentose. Spores elliptical, hyaline, smooth, I+, 9-10 × 6-7 μm. Cystidia fusiform, Hyphae with clamps.

Taiwan, Nantou: Meifeng, on rotten wood, 6 July 2000, CWN 04680 (TNM F0014320).

 Habitat: Clustered on rotten wood in mixed forest.
