Amanita virosa (Fr.) Bertillon, J. Elisha Mitchell Scient. Soc. 33:83 1917.

Basionym: Agaricus virosus Fr., Epicrisis systematis mycologici (Uppsala): 3 1838.

 Description: Pileus 5-8 cm, flat, white, pale yellow in the center, glabrous, viscid, margin striate. Gills free, crowded of several lengths, white, entire. Stipe central, 8-10 × 0.7-1 cm, solid, white, covered by small scales, base enlarged. Annulus membranous, white. Volva saccate, white. Spores globose, hyaline, smooth, I+, 6-8 μm. Cystidia clavate. Hyphae without clamps.

Taiwan, Nantou: Tungpu, on soil, 20 Sep. 1995, CWN 01261 (TNM F0004347).

 Habitat: Isolated or scattered on ground in broad-leaved forest.
