Description: | Sorocarps, solitary or gregarious, sometimes clustered, usually branched, sometimes sparsely and irregularly branched, phototropic, sometimes prostrate. Sorophores colorless, sinuous, 0.25-2.25 (-9.0) mm in length, tapering from expanded bases to slightly widened tips, 9-32.5 μm in diam at a level 100 μm above the base, tips clavate, 2.5-12.5 (-15) μm in diam at a level 50 μm below the tip. Sori white, globose, 30-300 (-400) μm in diam. Spores hyaline, ellipsoid, usually 1.57-2.0 times longer than broad, mostly 6.3-8.5 × 3.7-4.8 μm, without polar granules. Pseudoplasmodia with radiate streams, 0.35-10.15 mm in diam, not migrating without stalk formation, producing single or several sorogens. | |||
