Description: Ascomata conical with a flattened base, 288-350 μm high, 624-702 μm wide, immersed, raising the overlying host tissue, scattered, solitary, ostiolate, with a short neck, apex of neck 117-156 μm wide, sparse textura intricata around the lateral base of ascoma. Apex of the neck sometimes collapses inwards. Periphyses simple or rarely branched, flexuous, inconspicuously septate, 1.5-2.5 μm wide, irregularly directed upwards or downwards. Peridium of venter consists of two regions, the outer region 10-29 μm wide, composed of compressed, dark brown, thick-walled cells, the inner region 8-20 μm wide composed of compressed, hyaline, thin-walled cells. Peridium 48-78 μm wide at apex of the neck and narrowing downwards. Asci 140-176 × 7-9 μm, cylindrical, shortly stipitate, basal in ascoma, unitunicate, 8-spored, with an amyloid apical ring. Paraphyses septate, unbranched, 2-4 μm, elliptical, obtuse at ends, uniseriate in ascus, pale to dark brown, smooth, 3-septate, mid septum usually darker than the other septa, each cell nearly the same length, the middle septum is formed first and the two other septa are fomed later.
