Paraphyses septate, unbranched, 2-4 μm, elliptical, obtuse at ends, uniseriate in ascus, pale to dark brown, smooth, 3-septate, mid septum usually darker than the other septa, each cell nearly the same length, the middle septum is formed first and the two other septa are fomed later.
