 Description: Spots on leaf, yellow at first, then brown, rounded with indistinctly margin, up to 15 mm diam., occasionally confluent. Perithecia epiphyllous, immersed, scattered, compressed globose, 275-375 μm wide, 250-325 μm high, with intra-subepidermal clypeus around the ostiole, postulate on surface of leaf, 36-50 μm thick, 225-275 μm long. Perithecial wall 12-25 μm thick, composed of many layers of compressed, yellow to brown, thin-walled cells, the cells sometimes becoming thickened and blackened at the bottom of perithecium. Asci cylindrical, rounded at apex, without any apical apparatus and non-amyloid, 8-spored, 130-160 × 8-16 μm. Paraphyses filiform, numerous, 2-4 μm broad. Ascospores elliptical, rounded at both ends, hyaline, smooth, 15-20 × 6-9 μm.
