Description: | Mycelium innate, subcuticular, with rigid hyohae protruding from the cuticle. Perithecia immersed, scattered to loosely gregarious, compressed globose, 196-278 μm wide, 140-220 μm high, epidermal to subepidermal clypeus, 25-50 μm thick, 325-375 μm wide. Perithecium μm thick composed of several layers of compressed cells, brown in the upper region and becoming hyaline towards the base. Paraphyses filiform, septate, unbranched. Asci unitunicate, cylindrical, sessile, uniseriate, 8-spored, 50-62 × 2-4 μm, periphery in the centrum, with indistinct apical ring ayloid. Ascospores 1-celled, elliptical, brown, smooth, 6-8 × 2-3 μm. | |||
