 Description: Ascomata immersed, 370-430 μm wide, 410-470 μm high, solitary, scattered, neck conical, 160-180 μm, with the ostiole region piercing the host epidermis. Clypeus intra- and subepidermal, 80-110 μm thick, composed of dark brown cells interwoven with host cells and forming a textura epidermoidea to a textura intricate, surrounding and merging with the neck of ascoma. Peridium 20-30 μm wide, composed of 6-10 μm layered, pale brown, polygonal to elliptical cells. Paraphyses slender, 1.5-2 μm wide, occasionally branched, sometimes sparsely interspersed with broader, unbranched, 3-5 μm wide ones. Asci basal and peripheral, cylindrical, 120-140 × 12-14 μm, 6-8-sporede, unitunicate, apical ring amyloid, 2-4 × 2 μm. Ascospores 1-celled oblong, rounded at the ends, dark brown, (16-)18-24(-26) × 6-8 μm. Occasionally with a dwarf cell which is evanescent late in development, uniseriate, germ slit helicoidal, 1-2-coiled in surface view.
