MEA, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 22-23 mm, plane, floccose, margin broad, low; myce-lium white, pale to light yellow (4A3-4); cleistothecia abundant, forming a contiguous layer partly concealed by mycelium; conidiogenesis moderate, greyish green (28C3-4); exudate and soluble pigment absent; reverse light yellow to light orange (4-5A4-5). G25N, 25°C, 7 days: colony diameters 21-22 mm, center deep, subcenter raised, wrinkled, floccose, margin entire, submerged; mycelium white; conidiogenesis moderate, greenish grey (27B-C2); exudate clear, pale yellow, pastel yellow, light yellow (3A3-5); soluble pig-ment absent; reverse pale, orange, light orange (5A3-5). CYA, 5°C, 7 days: no growth. CYA, 37°C, 7 days: no growth. Cleistothecia on MEA pale yellow to pale brown (2A3), globose, 160-240 μm, sclerotoid with pseudoparenchymature peridium, maturing in 4-6 weeks; asci borne singly, ellipsoidal, subglobose, or globose, 6.1-8.0 × 4.4-5.5 μm, hyaline, containing 8 ascospores; ascospores lenticular with 2 appressed equatorial flanges, wall finely roughened, hyaline, 2.7-3.9 × 2.0-2.2 μm. Conidiophores and conidia: conidiophores on MEA borne from superficial and aerial mycelium; stipes septate, 170-283 × 1.7-2.8 μm, smooth, thin walled; penicilli mostly biverticillate, less often monoverticillate; metulae in verticils of 2-4, smooth, 11.8-20.7 × 2.8-3.9 μm; phialides in verticils of 4-8, ampulliform, 7.8-10 × 2.8-3.9 μm; collula gradually tapering, with a length 1.1-2.2 μm; conidia subglobose to broadly ellipsoidal, 2.2-3.4 × 1.7-2.5 μm, smooth, thin walled, borne in narrow, entangle columns.
