Note: | The orbicular convex ascomata, globose and fissitnicate asci, and 1-septate, hyaline ascospores places this fungus in Schizothyrium. In terms of ascospore morphology, this spe-cies is intermediate between S. longisporum (Pat.) Arx & E.Müll. and S. mollerianum (Sacc.) Arx (Müller & Arx, 1962). The ascospores in S. longisporum are somwhat smaller and broader (36-60 × 12-17 μm) and in S. mollerianum, they are longer and slightly broader (65-85 × 10-15 μm) than in S. millettiae. | |||
