 Description: Ascomata stromatic, unilocular, conical and tapering towards the sides, 190-240 μm wide, 80-110 μm high, immersed, intraepidermal, erumpent and becoming superficial, with an adnate base forming hypostromata which penetrate the underlying host tissues, opening by a lysigenous apical pore. Centrum hemispherioid, 45-60 μm high. Peridium composed of 6-10 μm diam. Polygonal, brown to dark brown cells, 8-12-layered cells at sides, 4-6-layered cells at base and ca. 2-layered cells at the upper part. Asci oblong, 40-45 × 11-15 μm, bitunicate, sessile, 8-spored, fasciculate on the basal, dome-shaped, up to18 μm high raised hymenium. Pseudoparaphyses absent. Ascospores clavate, 14-20 × 3.5-5 μm, hyaline, 3-4 overlapping seriate, 1-septate at first, later becoming 3-septate.
