 Description: Leaf spots subcircular or irregular, scattered, single, sometimes confluent, very pale yellowish, with a dark brown margin, up to 2 × 1.5 cm. Pseudoperithecia epiphyllous, solitary, immersed, erumpent with ostioles, ostioles slightly papillate, globose, dark brown, 70-100 μm in diam. Asci obclavate, apex rounded short-stalked, bitunicate, 8-spored, biseriate, without pseudoparaphyses, 45-62 × 15-20 μm. Ascospores short cylindrical, ends rounded, straight or very slightly curved, 2-celled, the upper cell somewhat wider than the lower cell, one septum near the middle position, hyaline, 17-20 × 4-5 μm.
