 Description: Leaf spots subcircular or irregular, dark brown with a yellowish margin, 3-4 × 2-3 mm. Pseudoperithecia epiphyllous, immersed, globose, dark brown, ostiolate, 94-117 μm in diam., 109-156 μm high. Asci cylindrical, bitunicate, short-stalked, 8-spored, apseudopara-physate, 38-62 × 6-12 μm. Ascospores fusiform, biseriate, 2-celled, one septum near the middle position, constricted, the upper cell wider than the lower cell, attenuated at each end, pale olivaceous, 12-16 × 4 μm.

 Note: The connection of the teleomorph and the anamorph of the fungus was not demonstrated in culture (Tilak, 1959). There are also was no anamorphs were found in cultures or specimen in Taiwan collections.
