 Description: Ascomata immersed, with long, erumpent ostiolar beaks, gregarious in diaporthoid groups, ovoid to subglobose, 126-340 μm broad, 150-240 μm high excluding the beak, surrounded brown hyphal net and penetrating the host tissue. Beak very long, up to 632 μm long, 64-96 μm long. Peridium 12-22 μm thick, composed of brown or reddish brown, compressed flat, pseudoparenchymatous cells. Pseudoparaphyses hyaline, septate, sometimes branched, 0.8-2.4 μm wide. Asci 60-78 × 8-10 μm, bitunicate, basal and peripheral, cylindrical, apex rounded, pedicellate, 8-spored. Ascospores 12.6-16.6 × 4.7-7 μm, oblong to ovoid, ends obtuse, biseriate or uniseriate inside ascus, reddish brown, smooth wall, 3-septate, the wid-est cell above the middle septum, slightly constricted at the septa.
