 Description: Leaf spots amphigenous, circular ot subcircular, brownish on the upper surface and grayish on the lower surface, with a thin dark brown margin, 0.8-1.7 μm diam. Perithecia hypogenous, scattered, solitary, immersed, flattened globose erumpent with a bristle-like ostiole, brown, without a clypeus, 172-257 μm wide, 195-312 μm high. The perithecial wall is membranous, composed of pale brownish cells and arranged in numerous layers. Ostioles composed of the brownish hyphae, periphysate, 70-109 μm wide, 70-133 μm high. Asci clavate, with an apical ring, no distinct reaction obtained with Melzer’s reagent, very short-stalked, 8-spored, aparaphysate, 36-48 × 8-12 μm. Ascospores obovoid, 1-celled, biseriate, hyaline, polar-diblastic, the upper third and the lower third portion stain well with cotton blue, the middle portion glassy and not staining with cotton blue, 12-16 × 4 μm.
