 Description: Colonies diameter on Oat Meal Agar larger than 70 mm in 30 days at 25°C, effuse, hairy, somewhat floccose, brownish grey to greyish brown; reverse brownish grey to greyish brown. Mycelium partly superficial, partly immersed, composed of branched, septate, smooth, subhyaline, pale brown to dark brown, 1.0-11.4 μm wide hyphae. Conidiophores macronematous, mononematous, single or branched, straight or flexuous, septate, smooth, usually brown or dark brown, paler towards the apex, 90.0-710.0 × 4.4-7.0 μm. Conidiogenous cells monotretic, sympodial. Conidia ellipsoidal, 3-septate, often middle septate darker than other septate and middle cells brown, paler at the both ends, 13.8-24.0 × 7.6-13.6 μm.

 Note: This is a common species. It is distinguished by ellipsoidal, 3-septate, brown conidia with a darker band at the middle septate.
