 Description: Apothecia gregarious on tree ferns, white, subsessile to non-stipe, white to light yellow, 0.1- 0.3 mm. Disc fringed with white downy hairs. Asci (37-)39-49(-54) × (6.9-)6.9-8.8(-10.8) μm, cylindric-clavate, inoperculate, J+, 8-spored, uniseriate or biseriate. Ascospores hyaline, (6.9-)9.8-11.8(-14.6) × (2.0-)2.5-2.9(-3.9) μm, fusiform to oval, non-septate, guttulate, thin-walled. Paraphyses clavate, obtuse on apex, exceeding the asci, (2.9-)4.4-7.8(-8.8) × (1.5-)2.0(-2.5) μm, non-septate, hyaline. Ectal excipulum possessing broad hyphae and turned into short hair, cells of hairs 5.9 × (2.0-)2.3-2.9(-3.4) μm.

 Habitat: Pteridicolous. On dead petioles of Sphaeropteris lepifera (Hook.) Tryon.
