A
descriptive analytical key is given to 50 cultures of 14 taxonomic species
belonging to the genus Ganoderma. All these cultures are purchased from
ATCC, CBS and CMI, and preserved in liquid nitrogen at CCRC for long-term
preservation. Each culture is characterized by a numerical code referring
to 66 cultural characters. Isozymes of esterase, lactate dehydrogenase,
malate dehydrogenase, peroxidase and whole protein from the mycelia of
Ganoderma cultures were surveyed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
