台灣常見蟲生病原真菌實用圖誌

  Metarhizium, Beauveria, Nomuraea, Paecilomyces, Hirsutella, Aschersonia are the frequent genera of entomopathogenic fungi in Taiwan. Two species of Aschersonia, A. aleyrodis and A. basicystis were isolated from infected scale, this genus selectively attack homopteran insects. Three species of  Nomuraea , N. atypicola, N. viridulus,  N. rileyi, were isolated from the infected insects. We also obtained four species of  Beauveria,  B. bassiana, B. brongniartii, B. amorpha,  B. aranearum.  Eleven isoltaes of B. bassiana were isolated from  Lepidoptera,  Coleoptera , Diptera , Homoptera .  Only one species of Metarhizium, M. anisopliae var. anisopliae, was found.  There are differences in spore color of  M. anisopliae var. anisopliae among isolates  isolated from different host. The occurrence of other  entomopathogenic fungi, Verticillium, Gibellula, Hirsutella, Cordyceps , are occasionally.    The results of the API ZYM test showed that all isolates have broadly similar reaction, but it could use to distinguish between different genera. There are difference in pathogenicity among isolates of M. anisopliae, N. rileyi and B. bassiana to the larvae of Spodoptera exigua and S. litura.
