Description: Infected young leaves forming waterish and conspicuous hypertrophy wholly, pale green to pale yellow and sometimes with reddish color. Lower epidermis separated from the mesophyll to form a layer of thin-brown membrane which ruptured and wrinkled in mature, and producing white-powdery hymenium inside. Hymenium composed of basidia, basidiospores and conidia. Basidia clavate to cylindrical, hyaline, 25-90 × (4-)5-9(-10) μm, with 2-3(-4) sterigmata. Sterigmata subulate, (2.5-)3-5 × 1.5-3 μm in height. Basidiospores hyaline, smooth, ellipsoidal to obovoid, banana-shape, obtuse at the apex, slightly curved and tapered at the end, (11.7-)12.5-17.5(-20.5) × (3-)4-5.5(-6)μm, with 1-3(-5)-septate. Conidia cylindrical, bacilliform, fusiform, acerose, 5-15.6(-18.5) × 0.8-2μm. Basidiospores on water agar germinating from each cell with long germ tubes and then producing abundant conidia. Colonies on PSA yeast form, sticky, pale yellow to pale orange with lustrous; smooth in early culture; but tiny wrinkles, sticky without lustrous in old culture, consisting of conidia and hyphae.
