 Description: Basidiocarp annual, usually solitary, 2-5 cm wide and a stipelike base. Pileus spathulate to flabelliform, upper surface whitish-pink when fresh, mostly reddish-brown to golden-brown with an ochraceous tint when dry, minutely tomentose and often with dark radiating lines. Pore surface whitish when fresh, ochraceous buff to dark-brown when dry, pores angular about 3-6 per mm. Hyphal system dimitic, generative hyphae hyaline, clamped and thin-walled, strongly dextrinoid, 2-3 μm in diam, arboriform binding hyphae dominating, yellow and thick walled, 1.5-7 μm wide. Setoid elements thick-walled and golden brown, lanceolate, with a number of projecting spines near the apex, up to 37 × 9 μm.
