Description: | Fructifications sporangiate, scattered to gregarious, up to 0.72 mm in total height. Sporangia globose or obpyriform, 0.36-0.40 mm in diameter, beige. Peridium early evanescent in the upper half, leaving a deep calyculus. Stalk dark, yellowish by transmitted light, up to 0.32 mm long (about 1/2 or shorter than 1/2 of the total height), slightly rugose. Capillitium scarcely elastic, consisting of threads 2.0-3.5 μm in diameter, marked by warts and short spines, colorless by transmitted light. Spores globose, 7.0-8.5μm in diameter, with scattered warts on the surface, nearly colorless by transmitted light. | |||

Note: | Apparently our specimens represent a small type of A. globosa. The warted capillitial threads and spores (7.0-8.5 μm) are typical and distinct characteristics of this taxon. | |||
