 Description: Dead mites affixed to leaf surface, pastel red (7A4), reddish brown (8D7-8) to dark brown (8F7-8) when sporulating. Rhizoids absent. Hyphal bodies rod-shaped, 17.5-20.6 × 6.8-8.7 μm. Conidiophores unbranched, with indistinct terminal enlargement, 7.9-12.3 μm in diam. Primary conidia 11.1-20.6 × 9.5-19.8 μm, L/D=1.00-1.17, nearly spherical to short ovoid, with a distinct papillate base, unitunicate, hyaline, nuclei not or weakly stained in LAPO, tetranucleate. Secondary conidia resembling primary conidia, spherical, 12.7-16.7 × 9.5-15.1 μm, L/D=1.05-1.36, or capilliconidia on long capillary. Capilliconidia 13.1-25.4 × 8.7-14.7 μm, L/D=1.13-2.55, amygdaliform, almond-shaped, with disk-, drop- or sucker-like haptor at the apex. Capilliphores 38.9-86.5 × 1.4-2.4 μm. Cystidia absent. Resting spores not observed. Attempts to culture the fungus failed.
